Alright so Amanda did this and I thought it was a cool idea so I present to you my fic to-do list. Feel free to comment on anything you think is cool and also feel free to throw out stuff you think would be cool. This is pretty much every idea I've had that's stuck with me so I doubt all of these will become reality.
This thing is pretty huge )

As of last night, I am now one of the new writers for Marvel Omega and I'm pretty psyched about it. For people who don't know, Marvel Omega is a fan fiction group that I discovered some ten years ago back when it was called Marvel-X. I lost track of it until about a year or two ago and I've been working out the kinks for an Exiles series since a few months ago. I sent my proposal in last night and everything's a go. Much as I love my alter ego, it's going to feel nice attaching my real name to fan fiction for once. Go check the place out and browse around. They've got some interesting stuff there and hopefully by the end of the year the Exiles series will be up and running.

# Comment with one to three random song titles - any song is fine - and I'll write a drabble for as many of them as I can!
# (For bonus points, link to the song or the lyrics, too.)
# I don't care if you pass on the meme but you can if you want.

You guys know what I like. Go to it.

Hey look, it's a fic. Yeah, this one turned out a lot differently than I planned. See what you think about it.

Title: Dark Age
Fandom: X-Men comics
Rating: T
Genre: Angst
Pairings: Pixie, no pairings
Warnings: No spoilers that you probably don't already know about
Summary: Pixie has some things she'd like to get off her chest. It's a shame no one's listening.

She lives in a fairytale somewhere too far for us to find, forgotten the taste and smell of a world she left behind )

Though it's not late enough in the year for this list to be definitive, I think it's mostly set in stone at this point. I now proudly present to you my top ten comics that I enjoyed reguarly reading this year. Read it and let me know what you think.

So I went to see the G.I. Joe movie this past weekend. I don't have a lot of sentimental attachment to G.I. Joe even though I watched the cartoon show when I was a kid but I do remember liking it and buying the toys so I decided to go see the movie. Here is my review character by character:

Not as many spoilers as usual )

All in all, it wasn't a good movie but it was definitely entertaining and a good waste of two hours of my life. Don't expect a lot of thought-provoking social commentary or well-thought-out plotting or intricate character development because you won't really get it. You will get a lot of action though and that's really what G.I. Joe is all about anyway. It's a fun movie and I was surprised that it was better than I thought it would be.

So for people who may not know, my birthday is the last day of August. If you would like to write, draw, paint, or make something for me then you have now been given ample notice to do so.

I almost decided to use the same icon to confuse you and make you think I had posted the same entry twice. Anyways, Kelly decided to interview me for the meme below so here are the answers. As always, if you want me to interview you leave a comment here or the entry below this one.

1) Where did your username come from?

My username is the same I use on fanfiction.net. When I started writing there I wrote a lot of X-Men: Evolution fics about the Maximoff twins and I began to think of them as my siblings so that's where it came from.

2) (Since it was a good question and I'm curious, though maybe this is cheating) Out of all the characters in the X-Men franchise, which is your favorite and why?

I would say Wanda Maximoff but I really don't consider her a real part of the X-Men franchise (I think she's more a part of the Avengers franchise). I'm going to go with Kitty Pryde. I like the fact that in a world full of very abnormal people she's incredibly normal and very human. I like that and there's just something very down-to-earth about the character that I relate with.

3) Which character in the franchise would you like to have a beer/coffee with?

I don't drink either but I would say probably either Kurt or Rahne. I think conversations with them would be interesting.

4) Do you find it easier to write male or female P.O.V., and why?

I write female P.O.V. a lot but I don't really think I'm exceptional at it. I think I can do either of them well enough but I don't really find either of them easier or harder than the other.

5) Are there any other fandoms you used to/or currently actively participate in besides WatXM? Why were/are they important to you?

I write for lots of different fandoms. X-Men comics, X-Men: Evolution, the X-Men movies, Batman comics, Runaways, the Teen Titans cartoon, Justice League Unlimited, many more that I can't think of right now. Check my fanfiction.net profile for a better idea. Link's in my profile.

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your journal.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on and on...

shini02 gave me these:

1. What's your all time favorite song? Why?

I'm the type of person who can't really commit to just one favorite of something. I have favorite songs at different times though a few of them stick with me through the years. Most songs by H2O (Thicker Than Water, Liberate, Songs Remain, Still Here), a lot of songs by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones (Nevermind Me, Toxic Toast, The Punch Line), and a few songs by Less Than Jake (All My Best Friends Are Metalheads, History of a Boring Town) are songs I've listened to a lot over the years so they're definitely my favorites but I don't like picking just one.

2. What was your very first fandom?

It was probably either Sonic the Hedgehog or Power Rangers. I mean technically Transformers is older than both of them but I don't really consider myself a part of the fandom at that time.

3. If you could trade places with any fictional character, who would it be? Why?

That's a tough one. Most of the characters I like don't have the greatest of lives. I really can't think of anyone off the top of my head whose life I would like to have.

4. Do you think you'll always enjoy writing?

Of course I will.

5. Who is the character you absolutely loathe? Why?

I wouldn't really say I loathe her but I really don't like Mystique. I've never thought she was interesting and these days she sounds like a broken record. It's just the same crap over and over again about how she's doing bad stuff to protect her daughter Rogue and blah blah blah. I'm just bored with it and irritated when I see her.
